Universal Health Care

One of the biggest debates in our country right now is on our health care situation. Health care is a mess right now and for so many people with large families can be way too expensive to afford. Would free health care mean higher taxes? Most likely. Would it mean you are forced to go see certain doctors? Probably. Would you be getting the same treatment for having the flu as your neighbor? Yes, and it wouldn't cost a dime. I mean realistically we are the richest country in the world (or so we've been told for so many years). Then why don't we have the luxuries like smaller countries do such as free health care?

That's why I think they are going about this all the wrong way. My plan you ask yourself? Get some of the smartest young people (since that's the generation that will have to live with this plan the longest) in our nation to sit down in an enclosed room with no outside distractions. That's right, a think tank. No cell phones, no computers, and of course no outside interference from politicians. Just start brainstorming on how to set up the perfect plan for our needs as a country.

I know the president isn't going to ask me for my input so why waste my time explaining on what I would personally do. I just know that something needs to be done. If that means paying a little bit more in taxes then maybe that's not so bad. Taxes are constantly being increased anyways so at least this increase would be for a good cause. There are plenty of countries that have free universal health care right now. So why don't we ask them about their pros and cons in their system. I'm sure they would be more than willing to share their ideas. Our biggest problem in getting something done within our government.. too many dumb ass politicians with their greedy hands in other projects. Every one of them has some sort of motive behind their decisions and trust me, they don't care about the average Joe. That's why we need some outside opinions along with our bright young minds to figure out this whole debacle. I'm sure it can be done.
