I haven't posted anything in quite some time. The Academy Awards is this Sunday night so I figured why not post my predictions and/or hopes for the winners. I'm only going to list the awards that most people only really care about. And the Oscar goes to...

Actor in a Leading Role
Jeff Bridges in "Crazy Heart"
George Clooney in "Up in the Air"
Colin Firth in "A Single Man"
Morgan Freeman in "Invictus"
Jeremy Renner in "The Hurt Locker"

Bridges has been winning other awards for this role so I say he keeps the train moving along.

Christopher Plummer in "The Last Station"
Stanley Tucci in "The Lovely Bones"
Christoph Waltz in "Inglourious Basterds"

Damon will most likely win but I loved Waltz charecter in Basterds.

Helen Mirren in "The Last Station"
Carey Mulligan in "An Education"
Gabourey Sidibe in "Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire"

This one is a little harder to guess. Bullock got a lot of praise but Sidibe will give her a run for her money.

I'd like to see Star Trek or Distric 9 win here since they both did incredibly well with a smaller budget than Avatar did.

This is the most important award of the night. So many nominees this year compared to years past. I personally have only seen two of these films and both were really good. Avatar looks to be the front runner but I think The Hurt Locker or Up in the Air could surprise us.
